Merino wool does not require frequent washing due to its stain-resistant properties.

Use a detergent suitable for wool. Submerge the garment into lukewarm or cold soapy water and let the knit soak for several minutes. Gently agitate and rinse. Do not wring. Squeeze out the excess water and dry flat after rolling the garment in a fresh towel.
